April 5, 2022

Kua puta ngaa ihu o te tokotoru nei i te waananga Paekaakaa oo Tainui. I whakapootaehia i te hui whakarangatira o Te Paekaakaa i ngaa wiki tata nei, i runga hoki i te piikoko kia matomato ai te pae karanga, pae koorero hoki o Makaurau Marae.

Te Pae Kaakaa was a series of waananga where Waikato reo, tikanga and tribal knowledge is advanced for our future upholders of our paepae.

This programme facilitated by Waikato-Tainui catered to fluent speakers of te reo Maaori and was delivered to a selected group of participants by invitation. We were lucky to have Pania Newton (left), Ngāti Tahinga Wilson (centre) and Davika Wilson (right, selected for her marae) chosen to participate in the recent cohort. We congratulate them on their recent graduation from the programme.
